Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve worked hard this year to get our venues closer together than ever. The furthest you’ll generally have to go between our main venues is between Canyon Center at 9th & Canyon and Kiln at 21st & Pearl. This is walkable for many people if you plan enough time. (You may not want to plan for back to back sessions between these places. It is also ok if you’re late, as long as space allows.) But you can also consider renting a Lime Scooter or a B-cycle for a quick and eco-friendly ride.
Must brings: (as in, not mandatory, but you’re going to probably want to)
- water bottle (you can refill at venues throughout the event & search refill stations here.)
- community mindset (how can you help contribute positively to the event?)
You might want:
- A reusable coffee mug. We’re doing our best to provide coffee at some locations. Help us be eco-friendly by bringing your own cup!
- Snacks
- Business cards (or a QR code or similar handy)
- A way to take notes
- Shoes that can take you from venue to venue
- A helmet for using shared e-bikes & e-scooters from venue to venue
Basecamp is at Canyon Center at 9th & Canyon this year!
This is where volunteers will check in and where you can be guaranteed to get your questions answered. We’ll also have coffee and snacks (until supplies are exhausted), name badges, and general merriment.
There’s a pleasant outdoor atrium area to hang out in to chat, relax, or get some work done.
Basecamp at Canyon Center will also have a Give/Needs board. Do you have something (time, expertise, product, etc.) that could be valuable to others and you’re willing to give freely? Post it up on the board for others to be able to contact you about it. Is there one thing that you really need that would turn things around for you or make a big impact on what’s next for you? Post your need on the board for others to be able to contact you with freely given help.
The Give/Needs board is not an opportunity to solicit, sell, generate lists/leads, etc. This is a place to freely give to others. Stop by as you have free time throughout the week to peruse the board and see if there’s something you can help with!
Sovrn will also have name badges and coffee/snacks until supplies are exhausted. Kiln will have name badges and snacks until supplies are exhausted. The Library will also have name badges.
By registering for the event, you can help us make sure we’re adequately prepared for you! Additionally, having accurate numbers helps us communicate ROI more clearly to our sponsors, without which we would not be able to put on this 100% free event. We won’t share your information with our sponsors without your explicit permission, but by registering, you give us statistics about attendee numbers to share.
You can REGISTER HERE and do your best to let us know some of the sessions and events you plan to attend as soon as you can! Thanks so much for cooperating so the event can be awesome for all.
Allow yourself plenty of time to park and get to the venue.
Canyon Center (9th & Canyon): There is some free 2 hour parking available nearby. The Boulder Public Library is a short walk or there are two public parking garages nearby on Walnut: 1000 Walnut (under the St. Julian) & 1125 Walnut St (11th & Walnut). There is also paid street parking available.
Boulder Public Library (on Araphahoe between 9th & 11th): The library allows for 90 mins free parking in its lot, with an option to extend your time by paying. The parking options by Canyon Center are also a short walk away (a pleasant walk over the Boulder Creek!).
Sovrn (16th & Pearl): Please note: Entrance is on 16th St., not Pearl. The parking garage at 15th & Pearl is just across 16th street from the entrance. There is also an entrance to this garage located off 16th St. Paid street parking is also available nearby.
Kiln (21st & Pearl): Please do not park in the lot behind/to the side of Kiln, this is for members only. The next 2-3 blocks West of 21st on Pearl or other nearby streets are usually best, and are generally free street parking.
Rosetta Hall: The parking garage at 11th & Walnut is right across the street. There is also paid street parking nearby. Additionally, the options listed for Canyon Center are all within a couple/few blocks.
Please walk, utilize shared e-cycles and e-scooters, or use public transportation as much as possible between venues.
